Project Description
What kind of game are you planning to build?
- Little aliens in Geisel - Survival + Stealth
- A bit like Lethal Company - probably more focused on exploration and interaction with the environment over gathering resources though
- Third Person, keyboard + mouse
What are the goals of the game, how do players win, how do they lose?
- Win condition: Reach the top floor of Geisel
- Press a button to decide to take off - up to players to decide if anyone is left behind
- number of survivors affects the score
- Discover the elevator to progress to the next level
- Maybe the players’ map will populate as they explore?
- Participate in activities to help (or hinder) students in exchange for score
- Lose condition: All the players get caught
What are the interesting or unique aspects to your game?
- We have Geisel, very relatable to UCSD students
- Be able to control cute aliens (thoughts on raccoons?)
- Karma as a points/currency system
What are the list of features of your game?
"Must Have"
- [ ] 1 level - for core gameplay
- [ ] 4 players with the same abilities to begin
- [ ] “Enemies” - students to hide from
- [ ] Maybe render the students’ range of vision?
- [ ] Stationary vs Patrolling students
